Ulisses: Let’s start with Shakespeare!

 

Ulisses:

For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Juliet and her Romeo.

Letícia:
Give me my Romeo, and, when I shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night,

Ulisses: Sometimes, the lines of Shakespeare's characters seem distant to us, but sometimes Shakespeare is closer than we think. Here we have a few things we say today which we owe to William Shakespeare:

Letícia: Knock Knock! Who’s There?
João: So-so
Henrique: Heart of Gold
Ulisses: Naked truth
Letícia: What is done is done
João: Full Circle
Henrique: For goodness sake
Ulisses: Love is blind
Letícia: Off with his head
João: A piece of work
Henrique: Break the ice
Ulisses: Vanish into thin air (the others ask “what?”). Well, “vanish into thin air” means “to disappear”. You use it when you wanna say that something was there and then, suddenly, it was not there anymore.

Letícia: Oh! It’s an idiom.
João: I hate grammar!
